The Court’s Role in Arizona
The judiciary's role is to interpret and uphold the law impartially, free from political influence. Ensuring that our courts remain apolitical is crucial for several reasons:
Fairness and Impartiality: Judges must make decisions based solely on the law and the facts presented, without political bias. This ensures that every individual receives a fair trial.
Public Confidence: An impartial judiciary maintains public trust in the legal system. When people believe that decisions are made objectively, it enhances the credibility of the courts.
Checks and Balances: The judiciary serves as a check on the other branches of government. Keeping politics out of the courtroom helps maintain this balance, preventing any branch from gaining excessive power.
Legal Consistency: Politically motivated decisions can lead to inconsistent rulings. A non-partisan judiciary ensures that laws are applied consistently across different cases, providing legal stability.
The Arizona Supreme Court
IS UNDER ATTACK
Keep politics OUT of the Arizona Supreme Court
From the federal level on down, we’ve seen politics creep its way into the judicial branch. But our courts should be independent, and in Arizona, they have been.
According to published media reports, out-of-state liberal groups like the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and Planned Parenthood Votes have budgeted $5 million to take over Arizona’s Court and defeat Justices Clint Bolick and Kate King.
If they succeed, liberal Governor Katie Hobbs will get to choose their replacements, giving liberals a majority on the Arizona Supreme Court for the first time.
The Supreme Court should be a check and a balance — not a rubber stamp. We need to maintain a separation of powers.
Join our grassroots effort to keep out-of-state interests out of our Courts. Take them — Arizona is NOT for sale!
